Remove vocals from any song — MP3/WAV, free, no signup

Drop an MP3 or WAV into the tool above and the AI splits vocals from the instrumental. Make karaoke tracks, extract acapellas for remixing, or prep stems for transcription — free, with no per-song limit.

Unlike most web vocal removers, separation runs on in-browser AI (Demucs family) — your song is never uploaded to a server.

Everything runs in your browser — your song is never uploaded.

How it works

  1. Upload audioUpload an MP3, WAV, FLAC, or M4A file. Processing happens entirely in your browser.
  2. Separate the vocalsThe AI splits your track into vocals and instrumental — and full stems if you need them.
  3. Download the resultPreview the acapella or instrumental and download it as a WAV.

Getting the cleanest result

Studio recordings with a center-panned lead vocal come out cleanest. Feed the highest-quality file you have (320 kbps MP3 or better, ideally WAV/FLAC) and prefer studio versions over live takes. If harmonies or reverb tails linger, run the 6-stem splitter instead and balance the parts individually.

Which AI model does the removing — with published numbers

The in-browser removal runs a Demucs-family model — the latest generation, Hybrid Transformer Demucs (Demucs v4), reports 9.20 dB average SDR on the standard MUSDB18 benchmark (with extra training data, arXiv:2211.08553), clearly ahead of 2019-era free tools built on Spleeter. The HQ Vocal Separation option (Pro) uses a Mel-Band RoFormer-family model: its parent BS-RoFormer won the music separation track of the Sound Demixing Challenge 2023 (9.80 dB average SDR without extra data, arXiv:2309.02612), and Mel-Band RoFormer is reported to beat it further on vocals (arXiv:2310.01809).
