Photograph or scan a printed score, upload it, and the AI reads the notation and converts it to ABC notation and MIDI. It replaces hours of manual note entry whenever you want to hear what a score sounds like, play a part for practice, or bring paper music into a DAW.
Unlike most tools on this site, score recognition is the one job that runs on our servers rather than in your browser. The recognized notes then load into the piano-roll editor, where playback, editing, and export happen locally.

Recognition quality is mostly about the image. Shoot in good light, lay the page flat, and photograph it straight-on so the whole page is in frame. Shadows, skew, page curl, and pencil markings are the main causes of misreads — a flatbed scan is the best input if you have one.
It is built for printed notation — handwritten scores are still hard for any music-OCR system, this one included. Simpler material like piano scores and lead sheets also reads more accurately than dense orchestral pages.
The result comes back as ABC notation and MIDI: audition it immediately, fix any misread notes in the piano-roll, and export MIDI for your DAW or notation software. In the browser DAW on this site you can go further — assign instruments and use the score as a backing arrangement right away.
